1" plastic plugs

I found a smal bag of white plastic plugs in the storage compartment. For the life of me I can't figure what they are for...they look like they would snap into a body panel or something.....any ideas? Bag has part number 23210833 on it..

Do you have a white truck with running boards? As I understand it these are hole plugs for the running board mounting hardware. It has been said in the past that you can see the dark hardware reflecting in the top chrome running boards. The plugs are to cover the black mounting hardware that faces downward toward the running board.

They fit in the rockercover holes rather than fastener holes.

 

With chrome running boards, the existing black ones would be visible in the reflection.

Have to check that out...never noticed any reflection on the bars..
