I just got my 2015 rcsb 4x4 lowered 3/6. I used the McGaughy kit and it turned out great. But the rear bounces around like crazy...never had a lowered truck ride this poor. I have seen some guys are using Belltech shock. What part number are you using? Any other ideas would be great too.

Those shocks that RT suggested are good.

 

And crawl underneath and check your bumps stops, I know at a 7" drop without a notch your riding on the McGaughy's stops, I'm betting with a 6" drop you only have an inch or less travel which means your probably hitting them. You can get shorter ones. I bought some energy suspension stops that are about half the height of the McGaughy's stop but I haven't installed them since raising the rear to a 5" drop.

I just ordered the Belltech 2210ff for the rear. I also bought some short energy suspension bump stops. My question is do I remove or keep the shock extender bracket that is now on it?

I'm not running them, but mainly because I have been too lazy and the Belltech's don't require them. I don't think it will matter to be honest, it couldn't hurt to have the more direct shock angle the extensions provide. I keep on saying I am going to toss mine on next time I have the rear end up in the air, just to see if they change the ride any, even though I don't think they will, but I have had the back in the air at least 4 times without doing it... Maybe next time?

 

I would leave them since they are already there.

It set at 3/6 only rubbing on front If I catch is BIG bump. Now the rear is like a pogo stick and it don't seem to be hitting the stops. Let's say drinking a pop is not a easy task driving down any city street.

You're about to fix that. Belltech's are much stuffed than stock, I think they are an improved ride.

How much tire rub are you getting up front on the 5/7?

 

It's actually just under 5" in the front... every now and then on a high speed type shallow dip (freeway) it will rub the inner fender liner. I think the Belltech struts are somewhat stiffer than the stock ones so that is helping minimize the rubbing. I did not get any rubbing when I was at 4".

 

I'm still running the stock 17's (31" tall) and will be going with a staggered fitment once I decide on a wheel. Probably going to end up with about a 29"-30" tire up front with 31" or so in the rear.

No rubbing with the wheels turned? Man, I thought my tires were the stock 31", maybe I should check again.

 

Can't wait to see a staggered setup on an RC, should look sick. You going to stagger wheel sizes too? My Vette looked good with a 19/20.

Don't worry, this article will share 5 invaluable tips to help you master the race and impress your friends. Golden Rules 1. Look one step further. The mistake of 90% of new players is only staring at their character. The secret of experts is to look towards the top of the screen (where the slide is about to appear).
