Does anyone know if the 2 year free maintenance is on the 2016 models as well ?

I looked on GMCs site is says under Pro grade protection 2 maintenance visits ?

It was built into the vehicle price anyway.

Dealer processed the work as a warranty claim, and GM built the extra warranty cost into the vehicle price.

For what is actually covered under the free 2 years it only comes down to like $200 in cost when you have to pay for the service.

I guess that makes sense but cutting the warranty from 100k to 60k they definitely save on & don't pass on the savings

It may have reduced the amount of price increase.

A wise man once told me; anyone can build a vehicle that can last forever, that is easy. The hard part is building a vehicle good enough to last through the warranty and then fail once the warranty is up.

MY family has 3 generations retired from GM. They all said that exact quote.

Now that the vehicles are completely dependent on the on board computers, a sinister organization could easily have components instructed to fail after the warranty period/mileage was surpassed.

(OK time to send the cylinders incorrect sequence instructions; let's have the fuel air mix changed; let's have the transmission stay in first gear, etc.)

A few extra thousand from each customer would be easy pickings. Imagine?!
