Worst headlight front end I have seen in a long time. Cant imagine GM keeps this look long.

This is more of a mid-cycle update. Aluminum bodies are on the horizon and with ityet another new exterior.

Have seen 4 '16 Sierras on 3 different dealer lots. I actually like the front end, particularly the new headlights, which presumably are a major functional upgrade. Not sure I could say the same for the Silverado face.

That said, could not pass up the $10k+ of incentives on an identically equipped '15.

Nice! Would be cool to see one from 1960 to current.

Hopefully a half ton diesel?!

I wonder how the silverado would look with the new 2016 GMC fog lights

That's what I've been saying, the fogs would better on the Silverado if they were the Sierra style

If this is the case, GM marketing should have been talking to GM product development before okay-ing ads bashing aluminum trucks.

Gm has used aluminum hoods. Why they bashed Ford for aluminum use was likely under the assumption their customers wouldn't know about the hoods.

FWIW, many owners of the alum '15 F150 are struggling with the new trucks per the boards. It is beyond a myriad of first year issues of the new platform, though those certainly exist. It also includes concerns over poor handling while towing including swaying and bouncing. Softer springs and questions over the new welds in the bed also exist. Many suggest their competitors simply handle better.

Note I'm not throwing Ford under the bus at all, as I really wanted the F150. However, the above concerns over the new alums as seen online in F150 forums were enough to put me into the GMC. I may also be biased towards the endangered, larger V8, and really needed a bulletproof truck for towing.

I also looked at a Ford and really liked it. However, none of the dealers had a Platinum with the longer bed and V8, and I didn't want the EcoBoost even though it drove nice. I also wasn't a fan of the Platinum's styling. I like the 2016 Lariat Limited a lot better, but I didn't want to wait and the Limited is also considerably more expensive than the Platinum or Denali trucks.

Here is mine fresh off the truck. Still needs to be inspected and all the accessories put on but she'll be ready for pickup on Wed! Can't wait!

Looks great! What color did you get? I'm not sure from the pic. I'm hoping mine will be built this week.

Yeah, the lighting was a little weird but it's Tungsten Metallic
