XM radio question

When I turn to XM , my favorite fm stations are showing. Can't figure out how to set favorites for XM. Are xm favorites suppose to be showing at the bottom of the screen? Thanks

Your favourites will be the same regardless of which radio you're on. So if you set all FM favourites for the first five you'll see those all the time. On mine I have 2 FM and 3 XM stations set for the first five.

Your favorites don't change based on XM/FM/AM. You set XM favorites the same way you do for FM, you touch and hold the slot you want the favorite to be stored in.

This was kind of odd for me too. It seems all "favorites" seem to be unified. Even map locations. So, like work or home locations in nav can be set as "favorites" too it seems. I did this accidentally when I first got the truck. Took me a couple mins to figure out what was going on and couldn't really reach the glove box for the manual (nor would it have been safe to do so hehe) while at the stop light after I somehow did it.

Now, if I can just figure out how to get the notification or flag favorite songs/artists to pop up when they start playing on another channel like every other siriusxm radio I have ever used seems to be able to... but i am starting to think this one doesn't have that feature...

You can even program phone numbers into favorites.

You can set multiple lines of favorites using the settings in Manage Favorites. I also changed mine so that the button reflects the name of the station vs. the number. It takes a little while to get the hang of it, but swipe up to show multiple lines (once selected in settings), swipe down to reduce it back to one or swipe left or right to go to the next line...not something you want to play with while the truck is moving...

Not only that, but you can program navigation destinations, as well. Also, the 2015 version works much more smoothly than the 2014 version...

I have a 2014 and if I want to get the list I have to hit the arrow in the right hand lower corner then it pops up. I cannot get it to stay up though. If I swipe it up the list will pop up in the middle of the screen but then go away after making a selection.

so what happens if you press on the bottom of the screen and then slowly drag up? There is a thread somewhere on here where some members said they lost their favorites, but it was simply hidden. I can drag mine up to 3 lines (my current setting) and back to one without it disappearing.

My 3 month subscription is up with XM radio and they sent me a bill for the next 6 month deal telling me they are charging everyday I use it basically. Well I'm not going to renew XM at the moment and I don't see how they can even charge me so I'm thinking it's just a ploy to get you to pay for their stuff. Am I right about this?

I'm just trying to holdout because My car had it on for 5 years before it turned off and I never paid, I owned a Jeep before this and XM was still going after 4 years.

I'm in a similar situation TMV. I just got my 2015 Sierra and was surprised XM is still working. I haven't received a renewal request or anything of the like, and I don't plan to renew as I use Pandora pretty much exclusively. But I have been enjoying a little XM lately to change things up.

I guess I'm just wondering when it will be deactivated and stop working.

ugh yeah same for me. XM reception blows where I live so I tried it and was like no thanks. Just loaded uo a 64gb card and organized all the songs by artist and genre etc. They keep sending me renewal notices and even sent me a 'final notice' once I was like wtf. Asked em like a dozen times to stop emails etc yet they persist like a cockroach.
