Questions for those with a lift kit

I installed a BDS 6" lift a few weeks ago & I just can't get past how the front looks much higher than the rear, even though it only measures 1/2" higher. If this happened to any of you, did u guys correct it or left it alone? I have driven the truck for 800 miles and its still the same.

Which route should I take to get back some rake & not get a much stiffer ride? Should I remove the 5" & install a 6" block kit, add a leaf or bds replacement leaf springs?

The rear consists of BDS 5" blocks with Fox 2.0 shocks. The BDS 6" lift is meant to raise the front 6" and use the 5" block to level the rear.

The front CAN settle quite a bit, you might even complain in a year it's come down too much... I had a lowered 350Z that was supposed to be a "half inch" kit that ended up dropping nearly 3 inches... I couldn't get my key between the tire and the wheel well.

Secondly, when people do the 6" lift, they generally do that to fit 35"+ tires, that front wheel well has a gap that fools the eye into thinking its higher than the rear.

I have decided to go the BDS add a leaf route. It should add 1-1.5" to the rear. That should give me the rake I'm looking for.

Try to have an empty fuel tank as you need to lower it.

Thats a very nice rig man..

I'm with you on getting the rear back to normal, I don't like the front higher..

As for the "Cali look", I'm here in San Diego and see this all the time. Guys put the rear lower to mimic the Baja race trucks. I just laugh, your truck is not a "Race truck".

I was going thru the same dilemma after installing mine.

I was actually kind of pissed they didn't include a wrench to adjust the height on the front coilovers.

i don't think it looks bad, give it time and let it settle. if your still not happy get an add-a-leaf for the back

Mine has a zone add a leaf. The trucks look nose high when truly leveled because the height of the hood.

I'll be getting my add a leaf installed Monday.
