Ordered stair treads Friday. Not cheap (bye car mods lol) and picked up the risers

Treads came in. Started cutting and fitting a few. Need to paint risers and glue down treads

No but the third step without a new tread sneaks up on you lol

Looks great. Just don't go up and down them with socks on when you're finished. You're feet can get away from you and it hurts like hell when you get to the bottom. Trust me. My kids know either wear shoes or go barefoot. They saw the bruises.

I fell down our stairs this past fall even with carpet it hurt. Wife left a library book on a stair. Swear she was trying to kill me lol

 

We are going to do a runner most likely so we don't go tumbling

Unfortunately my fall down the wood steps wasn't the first time. I missed a step on carpeted steps 3 years ago carrying our 6 month old daughter. All I could do was pull her close to protect her and take the punishment. I landed flat on my back and tailbone with all 230lbs and road them down. She was laughing like we had just been on a ride of some kind. I couldn't breath. She didn't have a scratch on her, but I bruised my tailbone and cracked 3 ribs. Some people learn things the hard way and apparently I'm a slow learner.

Well about 98% complete. Have some caulking and small trim work to finish up
