Windshield internal smears on 2014 Silverado

I have a 2014 Silverado crew cab with 600 miles on it that I have noticed smears at the corners of the windshield that will not come off. They are not on the outside or the inside of the windshield . Is there a recall?? Very very frustrated with an expensive truck with flaws already . By the way the above 600 miles is not a typo.. I had a multitude of issues with paint flaws got ticked and parked it.. I originally posted this to see if anyone else was experiencing the issue to see if there was a root cause. I understand I can sell the truck to the point made below that is not what I was looking for but appreciate the direction........Attachment shows one side of the windshield where the smear is located .

Looks like separation of the two glass layers, or delamination from the plastic inbetween. If that's what it is, replacement is the only cure. It occurs in poor quality glass.

??? Where can I post this then??

Thanks Ryan. It doesn't appear like delamination sloppy workmanship for sure. Apparently GM does not care about quality even on thier newest edition of the truck line up.

It seems you don't like your truck. You do know that you can sell it, right? Sounds like you just had a bad batch. Maybe try another one, or maybe move on to a new brand.

I understand I can sell the truck, that is really not what I am looking to do. I have had many GM trucks and performance cars over my life and do apologize if I sound bitter. It is disappointing to have a new truck with issues but of course that is my problem.. I am looking for answers to the situation.

Post pictures, threads almost worthless without them.

I did post a picture above.

Sorry about that, the picture wasn't displaying on my phone earlier. Anyways after looking at the picture it just looks dirty. Do you smoke in your truck? Also have you tried wiping down that area with alcohol and newspaper?

My 2015 had a very similar issue. Like yours, it was not on the inside or outside. I finally determined it was a problem with the lamination between the two layers of glass. Worst part, it was from the top down to just above my line of sight. Dealer said "we can't find the defect you are talking about" and "we can't do anything about it." Just another frustration of the truck until the repurchase was completed. My new 2016 does seem to be much improved on a number of levels. I would say that the only way to correct your defect in the glass is to replace it.

It's not just dirty I would have taken care of that. It sounds from the above post that there is an issue with the supplier. Only recourse is to pull a factory installed windshield and that sounds like major headache this early on.
