Not sure if this was posted...but there have been rumors and now its on GMFleet.

Interested in seeing if the 11K GVWR also supports a 10k+ towing capacity...

I guess everyones gotta wait till they hit fleet auctions like the Captivas and Caprices.

I'm surprised thought that they aren't selling them to the public because I know a lot of people who want one and WILL pay whatever price to get one.

A 1/2 ton Suburban will tow up to 8300lbs. Most anyone towing bigger goes for an HD gas or diesel pickup. GM wasn't selling enough to keep making them for retail, the only customer with any demand was and is fleet/govt (CIA, FBI, etc.).

What is Joe Blow going to do with an HD Suburban that can tow 3000lbs? Nothing.

There is 3500 suburban.

It gets the 6.0 instead of the 6.2, but is still only spec'd for 3000lb trailer.

Suburban commercial is a 1500 series 5.3 and can be spec'd to trailer 8300lb with Max Tow package. This is same as the 'regular' 'burb.

The Tahoe can be spec'd for 8600lb with NHT.

Yukon doesn't show the commercial or 3500 versions.

Wow, 3k trailer weight is not what I was anticipating. I wish there was something comparable to an excursion diesel offered by GM. Figured you could buy a HD burb without armor (obviously) and the payload/trailer weights would be north of 9k.
