Anyone have same dilemma

IMO I guess it all depends on if you car keeping the bike or not and if you think you will get the use out of having all of them. Also what you will be using the car and bike for? If you are just using it to cruise around during the spring/summer which are you going to pull out of the garage more often? Do you have a girlfriend or wife that you go with, how do they feel about riding on a bike? Is the bike your way of going off on your own? Haha

Let me start this part by saying I just moved from NY so i know the difficult decision process when the weather gets nice. I have a truck, a car and a bike, only one of which is paid off and to be perfectly honest when the weathers nice I find my self only taking one and completely neglecting the other. That said I find my self wondering why I have 3 vehicles.

I have a 6.2 '15 sierra, and a 03 C5Z

Get the Z, get it paid off, then get a new truck. A truck is a truck is a truck- if you're in the position where it "Makese sense" to get a toy like that- my suggestion is DO IT, because before you know it there may be kids or houses or financial stresses moving etc that get in the way.

You can always make a rationale to get a truck

BTW- there is NOTHING on the road out there that'll come close to the performance for the $$ the Z gives, and it's like no other modern Vette- jackhammer power, ultra light weight, FRC styling, no frills, ultimate balance of sports/track car w/ muscle car.

Personally I'd dump the night rod & get a duc diavel too but that's just me....I mean you said you like to GO fast not "look fast" right?

Yes, the duc is a nasty looking bike. The car would be for me to drive to and from work on nice days and my 9 year old son would be able to come with me. A far as keeping it stock (who does that)haha, prolly exhaust, intake and dyno tune. Nothing crazy but you can never keep stock. I love bikes and always have had one but the more people I see texting and driving and running lights I'm wondering if the vette is a better/safer option. But i do love cruising around the lake or a long ride to clear my mind.

Do you hose it off with a pressure washer? Seems like the crappy factory frame wax flakes off much faster when hitting it with that much water pressure.

I keep mine undercoated with oil and 'spritz' the underside with a regular hose to get the salt crap off. Only do it a couple times each winter.

I use a pressure wash. So far no loss of any of the frame coating although I expect I will eventually just from normal wear and tear. Been about 7 months and the underside looks brand new after 28k on the odometer and I got the truck with 3 miles on it

I also vary the angle so as not to give anything a full blast. You just want to rinse it off not sand blast it :) I've seen people flake paint off by going 100% dead straight with a pressure washer so angle is your friend.

So I have started my search for an 02-04 z06. Ive been looking at the normal places autotrader, cargurus, ebay, etc. Anyone have any other suggestions on where to look. Would love to find a place that would take my 2014 nightrod on trade. If can't trade or sell bike no vette.

So I currently have a 2008 silverado all done up with leveling kit, shocks, exhaust, intake, and rim &tires. Finally paid it off and had my heart set on a used denali 14 or 15 denali 6.2. All of my friends have recently bought sports cars and giving me the itch, I have a harley nightrod 2014 but Im now considering keeping my truck and getting a used 2001-2004 zo6 because I want to play. Do I need a bike and vette now but Ive had fast trucks, bikes, and snowmobiles but never a car. Problem is where I live in central ny after 5 years ur vehicle turns to sh**. ANy suggestions?

Gave up the FLHTCI since I can't ride anymore... Love the Vett with the top down. Almost as nice as dodging potholed and cagers.
