2015 Silverado 1500 LT Side view mirror

Need help with how to remove the glass mirror assembly and how to replace the top half of the cover. Mine is the same color as the truck body. I cracked the black housing around the glass and want to remove the glass so that I can get inside the housing to glue it back. Dealer wants $300 to replace the whole mirror.
