New guy saying Hi

Hi guys,

I just purchased a 2015 Sierra Double cab 4x4 Z71. Love the truck so far. Few quick questions that I haven't found definitive answers to in search yet.

1) When driving at night is there a way to lower the light intensity on the 8" display without adjusting the intensity on the dash? Manual said something about an Auto, Day or night choice in the Settings menu but I can't find it.

2) related to #1. Does anbody else find the LED that shines down on the cup holder at night while you are driving annoying?? Is there a way to turn it off?

Planned mods.

1.5" Motofab front level

Tri fold Tonneau (took the one off my 2011 F150 and it fit just fine.

Vent visors (in-channel or stick on...any recommendations?)

I usually put a bug deflector on my trucks, mostly to help with sandblasting and rock chips on the hood. Any recommendations??

Winters/mud here in the northeast typically suck...I had a set of Rugged Ridge floor mats in my last vehicle. Will probably buy a set for this one too. THey have a nice high lip and really trap all the crap off your boots.

I turned my dash lights wayyy down because they are intense. My windows are at 5% tint so it reflects back so it can be distracting. I probably backed it off down to 35% brightness. The overhead light I love. It's just bright enough to light the center console area for me but you could always put a small piece of tape over the bulb? Congrats on the new truck! Post a picture too.

Welcome, You can dim the screen with the dial on the left had side by the headlight & 4wd button. When it's real dark out I turn it all the way down. Play around with all the buttons and look in the manual.

Welcome fellow double cabber! Sorry can't help you on the lights. I actually find the constant dim overhead light very useful. I went the weathertech route for all weather floor mats.

How are the Weathertech floor mats working for you I'm in the market.... I have seen others post issues with them but I have never had any problems with previous trucks. Love the way they look.

Nice looking truck. I have the exact same truck in a crew cab... I did the rough country 2 inch level and I'm still about an inch lower in the front. Plenty of room for the 285 BFG's on stock wheels tho

I have a set of weathertechs front and rear for crews. The fronts would work for you but I really don't like them due to their massive amoutn of curling. Theres a consensus for husky x-acts or weatherbeaters that are really liked here.

Love them! Work and fit as they should!
