Engine cuts out

The engine has cut off 4 times now in the last month while making a right hand turn from a stop. Cuts out while accelerating. No warning lights and will restart immediately and runs fine, just don't know while it stops. Any thoughts?

Don't turn right any more, three left turns = one right turn. Problem solved!

A little more information would be helpful, like make, model, year, engine, miles on vehicle, etc....

2015 GMC Sierra 1500 Crew Cab, 5.3L, 3.73 with Max Tow package, 8,000 miles. It does not do this consistently but by the way it cuts out, sounds like some type of torque safety or ignition safety and the engine just completely stops. It doesn't bog down or stall out, just like the ignition was turned off. Turn it back on again and everything is fine.

Have an appointment with the dealer tomorrow to have it looked at. Thought maybe someone might have an idea of what it might be.

Also while backing up, I tread to turn wheel left & right, it kicked wheel back in opposite direction

Dealer could not diagnose the issue as no code was generated in the computer. Continue to drive is and document when it occurs to see if I can pinpoint the issue.

Sounds very much like a short to me, check your ECM wiring harness, it is very close to the steering wheel rod in the engine bay (ECM is the silver aluminum block heatsink). You can find it right next to the empty battery tray

And we are back to technicians not be able to diagnose anything without a code...

My truck dies, great drive it and hopefully do not get in an accident..

My truck vibrates, well there is no code, it must be normal...

Same thing happened to me this morning as I was on my way to pick up my girlfriend from work.

Stopped at a red light and when it turned green I accelerated to about 10 km/h (I'm Canadian) and

I heard a clank sound and the engine stalled. Put into neutral and restarted and the check engine

light was on. On my way home the check engine light turned off but I could feel a vibration in the gas

pedal. Only 6K on the truck and haven't done any crazy driving. Will take it in Monday and see if I can

get any results to post here.

Good afternoon Bozak,

I am glad to hear you have plans to work with a dealership to address the stalling concern in your Sierra, as I understand why you would want to have this addressed. I would be more than happy to connect you with our Canadian team so they can help set you up with a service appointment. Private message me with your VIN, full contact information and preferred dealership if you would like more assistance.

Have a good day.
