Backfit Wireless Charging Console

Hey everyone - been looking at all the options for adding wireless charging now that I have my S7 Edge. I have read all the threads I can find and I know you can fairly easily modify the existing console to accept an aftermarket charger. I am trying to find out if anyone has tried to backfit the 2016 console lid and hook it up. Thoughts?

Just an observation my s7 edge is to wide for the 2016 charging pad when in its case.

Thanks for that. I appreciate it. Weird since it fits perfectly on the pad of my 2015. I am hoping someone can chime in with the part numbers and figre out a way to backfit because I would love to try it.

I disassembles one of the round samsung chargers and glued it under the tray in my 15. It's wide enough to charge my note 5 and my s7. Tried a 16 at the dealer and had to pull my case of my edge for it to work. The case I use is fairly thin so.

As for width, My Note 4 won't fit in my brother 15 with the center console, but it fits in my 15 with the jump seat.

The channel opening in the 2015 is different than the 2016, also if you have a LTZ or SLT 2016 it should already have wireless charging I believe.
