Integrated Trailer Brake Opening

I don't do much towing and due to the great deal I got on my 16 Sierra SLT, I was ok with the fact that it didn't come with factory integrated trailer brake. Since that is not there, there is an opening that really isn't good for anything. It's too small to fit my cell phone and I'm not sure what else to use it for. Has anybody done something with this opening or found something to accessorize it with? I appreciate any suggestions.

I used it to place a switch for my front camera. That's just a little piece of plywood with felt over top of it. I didn't drill or cut anything; it's just wedged in there. Looks decent.

I use this area to keep my house keys in. Beats scouring through the center console and cup holders looking for them.

Not really much use for that opening, not much can fit in it.

Keep the remote for my aux lights. Also now use one of the garage door openers fo the aux lights.

Made a bracket to use for my GPS. It is out of the way and real easy to see. No open screws to scratch anything. Easy to pull in and out. Tight rubber fit without and movement. Can be setup or used for anything like phone etc..
