Buyback process?

I had 2000 miles on my 15.

Funny too, cos I only drove it for like 2 weeks.

I've had my 16 for about a week now and I've put 1000 on it tho. I keep my tires warm I guess. I put 3k on their loaner.

The dealer has been great about all of this, once we got "Stuck" on the repair they wasted no time on proceeding with the repurchase.

I think a replacement diff would have fixed it, but they wouldn't authorize that repair for some reason. Kept wanting to rebuild.

Ya GM won't replace my radio lol now maybe I'll get the truck lol

Good point. My issue has nothing to do with driveability or safety so I'm dreaming when it comes to a buy back lol.

One more question, do u choose where u can go get a truck? Or do I have to do it thru the dealership I been getting my work done? There service is awesome but sales isn't as great, not to mention they don't have a truck if my choice RI now, I know they could pull one in tho

:Update

What a process, but today they informed me they are repurchasing my vehicle, and asked for copies of my reg/title/paperwork, not sure what the next step is, or numbers or how they figure them out, but we shall c

I just started a case to get a buyback on my 2017 silverado dually... had it 3 months, 4k miles on it. Had check engine light on the day after I left the lot. They fixed it. 2 weeks ago I noticed an oil leak. Took to dealer. They "fixed" leak coming from gasket on turbo. Next day I got choked out by exhaust in my cab. Very bad. Called GM today to make a case for possible lemon... chevy man for life and never imagined having this issue...

I purchased a New 2019 Silverado 2500HD Diesel last August. On Thanksgiving of 2019, the engine went bad and the vehicle was towed to a dealership 125 miles from my home, which is where I was at Thanksgiving. The dealership is in Simi Valley, CA. It took over two months for the dealership to fix the problem, but, I requested a buy back after the initial 30 days. The deal that GM made me was not at a;; what I would consider fair. I was to pay over 10K as part of the buy back. I have continued to make my monthly payments, the truck continues to sit at the Simi Valley dealership, 125 miles from my home. I have been dealing with Justin Radinski, from GM, but he has not returned my emails and calls. I do not want another GM truck, I purchased a Tundra. In the meantime, my $1141 a month payments are being made, which is now especially tough. Please advise.

Welcome to the site.

Are you saying that the truck is fixed, and just sitting at the dealership?

Yes, it’s fixed (took two months) but I don’t want a truck that blew an engine with 4700 miles on it. How can I feel confident that it won’t happen again, especially with the standard warranty?

I understand your feelings about the truck, BUT, this is between you, GM, and the bank your loan is with.

The dealership has no financial obligations to you or the truck, nor are they responsible for damage, or theft if it were to happen.

I would be heading there as soon as possible and take it home.

Let it sit in your driveway while you work with GM, or look into Lemon Laws for your state.

Being a lawyer yourself, you should know someone to speak with, maybe Kim Wexler?

Yes, I know, the dealership has been great, not on my list of bad faith. Yes, Kim is a great help. I do not want to have the truck sitting at my house. I have had an offer that was not favorable and I know it is a standard equation minus miles driven. I should be about even now with GM. I have called the finance company and they referred me back to Justin Radinski at GM's resolution center. He has not got back to me in almost two months.
