My Gas Mileage - Gained 2 mpg - Nothing Has Been Changed

My last trip to our mountain place to go fishing resulted in a 2 mpg increase in mileage. No changes to the truck, filled up at Costco like always. Same roads and routine, towed boat to lake.

This truck was getting 13.7 mpg average city and mountain driving up till this trip. Took a trip to the store today and checked the DIC and it says 15.8 mpg average now.

Not complaining but doesn't make sense. I have taken 4 fishing trips and normal city driving previous to this trip.

I noticed when I got home the fuel gauge wasn't as low as before.

Got me scratching my head.

Removed my hat first though. :happysad:

Refineries have switched over to summer blend gas, i usually go up about 1.5 - 2 mpg, starting in june every year.

My truck really picked up in performance this summer when better blend of gas came in. I got my Blackbear tune last October and ran E85 for a few tanks till winter then started running 93 but a month or two ago I could really tell a difference. I can't comment about better mpg because Im having a hard time keeping my foot off the go pedal.

I have always noticed a change in mpg from winter to summer fuel, that would be my guess also
