Window washer fluid smell through AC??

Lately everytime i use the washer fluid on my window i get the really strong concentrated smell of the fluid through my AC

 

Any thoughts on this? Anyone else have this issue??

Do you have a lot of debris maybe in the wiper cowling that is diverting the washer fluid over to the AC intake near the bottom of the windshield?

Is the AC set to fresh air instead of recirculate? If so this would be normal for it to pick up the smell as the fluid runs down into the cowling.

the recirculate button is lit, maybe its not working??

Or maybe it just doesn't seal 100%, which would not surprise me. GM might have engineered it to allow just a "touch" of outside air in. I am sure someone here knows the answer.

I notice this too. The outside air intake is on the cowl below the wipers...and that's where the fluid sprays from, theres gonna be some smell.
