2016 Midnights everywhere!

So just a small thing I noticed. I have been searching around for a 2016 LTZ Z71 6.2 and every single black one in the configuration I want has the Midnight package on it. Its about 10 trucks worth. Not a single just Black with chrome trim anywhere close.

And the Blackouts are everywhere too.

My 15 is a Custom Sport not Midnight.

Everyone seeing this?

I just have not seen many 16 6.2s around. There is a midnight 6.2 at the closest dealer to me.

It depends on what the dealer wants and what they know or think will sell in their area. For GMC at least I have one dealer by me that only orders chrome bumper trucks. Another dealer 20 miles away only buys the All Terrains or Elevation Editions.

ya 2015 there was no midnights around and the 2016s roll around and there everywhere. obv looks like they sold well and are pumping them out

I've seen more than I'd like to that's for sure... Wouldn't normally bother me but when they're a "special edition" it's much more obvious. I plan to mitigate that though with a few subtle changes (tires, rails, keeping it clean,etc).

When I fly home in a few weeks I may try to get a deal on a midnight if they are so common! haha

One of the main reasons I got my midnight edition with the 6.2 was for rarity. Which, I have not come across many 2015 midnight edition with the 6.2.

I've seen more than I'd like to that's for sure... Wouldn't normally bother me but when they're a "special edition" it's much more obvious. I plan to mitigate that though with a few subtle changes (tires, rails, keeping it clean,etc).

I have a '16 6.2 Midnight coming my way. It was built last week. I should be getting it sometime in the middle of the month.

How would you know if another had the 6.2 vs. The 5.3? They look the same don't they?

I've been shopping around trying to get my hands on a 6.2L and it's been tough. Here in Maryland the 5.3Ls are everywhere on dealer lots. At least 8 for sale in my immediate area.

Hoping to have a 6.2L in my driveway soon....the search continues.

Hello GM - 5.3 or 6.2 Midnight Edition should come with the performance muffer when made ???? NOT aftermarket system . Will there be a 2017 Midnight Edition ??????

Traded my 15 Custom Sport 5.3 for a 16 Midnight 6.2. Because of constraint of 6.2, they're not all that common. Ive only seen one 6.2 in my area that wasn't a Denali, High Country or Midnight, it was a white with chrome grilled LTZ. For those still looking for one my buddy who works at a dealership said there isn't a constraint on 2017 6.2 builds so getting one shouldn't be too difficult.
