Poor throttle response noticed in emergency

Truckguy82 - I did this as well and the truck drives great. (Usually I just turn off the TC) But did all three( Grade braking, TC, and parking assist) and the truck rolls along effortlessly, and shifts like you would would expect. It's really good, Truck mileage went down, it learned the loads then went to above where it normally is.

All I'm running is a modded factory box (removed the side snorkel) MIT, and the Flapper mod (Clamped open) and with all the nanny's turned off it is really strong & quick. Just if it wasn't for the speed limiter it would be perfect. As is it has a ton of low end torque, and still revs out well. Happy with it. Doesn't feel like a dog any more.

Hmmm, my fuel economy improved. Set my new mpg record. Cruise control on 65mph, few stops as well.

The only "annoying" thing I've noticed regarding acceleration is when I gun it and it only downshifts one or two gears when it can clearly downshift more. Anyone else experience this? If I can get it to downshift to the lowest possible gear before redline it hauls butt but that rarely happens

You know whats messed up, Truck was idling in the driveway, i decided to test the throttle response

I can go jam the gas pedal to WOT and release it real quick without the tach moving. Thats nuts

I thought that the delay was accommodating smoother driving! My son-in-law treats a light turning green like a race car driver at a starting line and he also would question the delay! I understand the fun of driving a vehicle that responds immediately but I don't find the throttle "delay" a safety concern. I often need fast throttle response merging onto a busy highway and my truck hasn't disappointed! I do find that I need to adapt my driving habits to the vehicle I am driving, whether it be the car, bike or truck.
