***UPDATE***

So after a week of going back and forth to work I am thinking of cutting the valve out of the old exhaust and welding it in behind the muffler on the Corsa system.

The exhaust sounds incredible and is not overly loud at all. But the weird pulsing noise that comes through the truck in V4 mode is kind of annoying, not awful, but noticeable.

I could live with it day to day but when I towed my boat it was definitely much more intrusive with a load on the truck while in V4 mode. As I understand it you can put a tune on that will disable the V4 mode. I may do that before I start cutting, welding, and hacking two beautiful exhaust systems, I had hoped to hold onto the stock system in case I ever wanted to switch back.

Please note, I am NOT taking away from the Corsa exhaust at all, it is awesome and sounds incredible, but that V4 mode makes this exhaust very noisy when towing! I believe the GM/Borla exhaust has the valve in it just for this very reason.

I will update on what I decide to do.

You have a couple options:

1) Drive in M5 mode (I believe others say this restricts AFM)

2) Range AFM Disabler (non-permanent)

3) Tune (semi-permanent)

Sweet! I put the GM/Borla on mine and love it. Sounds pretty similar but I'm guessing yours is more aggressive - I haven't taken a video of it. I think I need to go do that! ;)

Is that a 6.2 p7m89mm? Please post some audio of the GM Borla touring exhaust. I have one ordered from my dealership and would like to hear the sound. (as best you can on the internet) Not too late to cancel the order!

Mine is a 5.3. I can probably get a cold start up and idle. I doubt I'll be able to coordinate a drive by until tomorrow though.

Try this. Cold start 5.3 GM Borla. Filmed with an IPhone 6s. Doesn't sound impressive at all or what it's like in real life when listening through my phone. I did plug headphones in and it's better.

Listening to the original video in this thread through the same headphones, the Corsa is definitely louder at lower RPMs and gets that slight burble note instead of pure throatiness. I'll see if I can manage a drive by video.

Sigh well update here. My GM Borla Touring cat back system came in for my 16 CC SB Denali 6.2 and my dealership installed yesterday I picked the truck up last night and apparently they knocked a heat shield or something lose it is rattling / vibrating like a 1970 chevy with 900k miles. I am going to try to crawl under this morning before I drive to work to make sure to make sure something is not going to to fall off on the way to work. CANNOT GET ANYONE TO DO ANYTHING RIGHT NOWADAYS. Between the rattling and vibrating you can almost hear the Borla and it seems to have a very nice tone. I would say that it sounds "civilized" will report back later.

Did the dealer get this fixed for you?

I can't imagine what they could have knocked loose or screwed up in this install. There really isn't anything to mess up on a cat back install on these trucks!

Good luck, I hope it is fixed and you are enjoying it now.

Oh sorry I did not not update. Took the truck back Thursday and they had knocked the heat shield loose when pulling the old exhaust I guess. Anyway it is good now. I had to go back up to pick up the old factory exhaust on my trailer anyway. Going to put that on craigs list for 250 bucks.

Do people really buy used stock exhausts on craigslist? That would be great to recover a few bucks off the upgrade.

Well, I just replied to him on another post....I just bought the Corsa sport and I'm currently leasing (might buy out in 3 years) but if I don't, I'll have to put the stock exhaust back on. I wish I would've thought about just buying another used stocker, then I would've just used it with a Borla muffler or something welded in and it would've been a lot cheaper than a grand!

The stock exhausts are hard to sell. I couldn't sell mine from my old truck. There's a couple on CL here for 14+ for around 100. Been on there for a while..... I really doubt you could fetch 250.
