Corsa Cat Back #14873, sound amazing. Flyby video inside.

I really wanted to do a cat back on my 2016 5.3 All Terrain. I didn't know what to get and after watching a ton of videos on YouTube I was even more confused, most are just idle and rev clips.

I have a Corsa Cat Back on my 2007 Corvette so I knew I liked their exhausts already, but I was still nervous about taking the plunge without hearing one on a truck in person.

I finally decided I was just going to do it so I ordered the #14873. I put it on yesterday and I have to say it sounds simply incredible. There is a slight drone at 40-45 MPH and light throttle, as I understand it this is from the V4 mode, I can live it with. I think my gas mileage may go down for a bit as I am having trouble keeping my foot out of it she sounds so mean.

Overall the install was incredibly easy right in my driveway and the quality of the kit is excellent, a very nice addition to my truck.

Here is a video my wife shot yesterday showing more than just a stationary truck, it is good representation of how the system sounds. It is quiet in the cab unless you are under hard acceleration, and then it just sounds sexy. Outside the truck the sound is really hot from idle to wide open throttle.

Make sure to turn up your speakers, that 5.3 just howls in this video.

That actually sound too loud. Would it be hard not to wake up the house / neighbors if you had to go to work early in the morning or no big deal?

Edit: Meant to say that *doesn't* sound too loud in your video. Was writing on my phone and overlooked my error.

I had a 14 Silverado pull up next to me on a big hill on the Interstate the other day with what looked and sounded like an aftermarket exhaust. It was almost comical - like the truck should have been going way faster with all that noise coming out the back. I'm not trying to be negative, but is there any other benefit to installing an exhaust like what you did other than the sound?

All of the above being said, I think your truck sounds great!

I think it sounds great. I have my corsa sitting in a box right now waiting on my 2017 6.2 to be built this week. Hopefully only a couple more weeks till delivery.

It is loud, but if you aren't putting your foot to the floor it won't wake anyone up.

LOL I didn't take your post as negative! There is no benefit to a cat-back other than that sexy exhaust note. Total poser modification but it does at least sound mean. HAHA!

Sorry, I made a mistake in my post (edited now) - your video makes it seem NOT too loud going up and down the driveway, only seems to wake up during acceleration. When I have to come home and leave at the wee hours for work, I'd like to avoid any complaints. I think you just sold me on it.

The corsa I bought cost a little more than those because it has the black tip and it's for a 6.2 crew cab with a standard bed. I was planning on buying from amazon but I called up autoanything to see what price they could give me. They beat the amazon price by $1, gave free shipping, and no sales tax. Amazon was going to charge me tax which would have been close to $100.

Sweet! I put the GM/Borla on mine and love it. Sounds pretty similar but I'm guessing yours is more aggressive - I haven't taken a video of it. I think I need to go do that! ;)
