Got into an accident Opinions/knowledge needed.

Lots of drivers speed up when they see the yellow light. Just yesterday I was stopping because the light turned yellow and I was about 200 ft from intersection at 45 mph. A pu truck about 2 lengths back of me in left lane sped up and ran the red light. He could see it was red before he even entered the intersection.

A lot of people get behind the wheel and turn stupid. Absolutely no clue as to what's going on around them let alone in front. I was sitting at a light waiting to turn left. Usually when the light changes I take off almost immediately. This time I took my time and glad I did. As I entered the path of the cross street a mid-size car blew the red light doing at least 60mph. If I had been quick on the gas like usual the car would have t-boned me in the drivers door. Other drivers at the light were sitting in their cars stunned. Half mile past the intersection I think the driver realized what they did and hit the brakes. I said to myself, A LITTLE F*****G LATE! I don't think I would have walked away with a bump and it most likely would have seriously injured or killed the other driver.
