Anyone swapped led bulbs in factory 3rd brake light?

Is there a trick to resealing the stock 3rd brake light so they don't leak after a bulb has been replaced ?

I put LED bulbs in the white/cargo lights only. I'm pretty sure I just lined up the cover and screwed it back on.

I've taken my lamp out 3-4 times. No leaks. Is yours lined up right? Any cracks in the lens?

Well my 14 leaked and so I don't want to run into any issues with my 16.

So your telling me if lined up right , it shouldn't leak?

Not to hijack this thread but what is the recommended white LED Bulb for the cargo, reverse, and license plate lamps? That's next on my list of mods.

There is a stick thread on nothing but bulbs. Good info

You usually don't have to worry about the facory/stock housings, it's the aftermarket ones that tend to be the leakers. I got an aftermarket LED setup and the gasket was way too thin. I had to add some silicone sealant on the outside. Considering replacing it going back to a stock style with LED bulbs.
