Where do 35's rub with a leveled truck?

Where do 35" tall tires rub specifically on a 14+ truck that has only been leveled (2"-2.75")? Sway bar, front fender, rear, etc?

 

If anyone has any photos that would be great

I'd love to know the answer to this as well.

I'll be doing tires before winter.

 

My other truck was just on the front leaf spring, with my new truck(independent) it looks like it would clear to me at least up to 315s

 

I think the problem insues or is made worse by putting too tall/wide of a tire on the factory rims... atleast in my experience. But im off to investigate my rim size/offset now to see if my past experiences are applicable to my newer truck.

 

 

Edit.. my cousins 2012 rubs with 35s the tinyiest bit with the wheel turned fully, its leveled and has rear airbags. Ill take a photo of that if it helps but not sure if it will..ill update the post later.. trying to remember where the rubbing was.

 

I think it was the plastic fender guard or the shock? We have a few vehicles with slight rubs

 

 

Edit 2.. hete a good link although it dorsnt answer your specific question. It leads me to believe there would be serious rubbing without trimming with 35s..good read either way

No where.....if you keep the wheel straight and the truck never hits a bump. All the places you mentioned otherwise.

They will rub on the inside of the fender well closet to the rear of the truck when the wheels are turned full lock. As long as you don't have do a lot of aggressive offroading and are mindful of turning very sharp rubbing shouldn't be too big of an issue. Just keep in mind that the wider the tire the greater the chance of rubbing.

I know you're an off-road maniac. You definitely will wanna go with some fiberwerx 3" fiberglass fenders. That's the only way

It's not for me, I already have fiberglass fenders. My wife wants a Silverado too and now she "needs" 35s haha. She wants to look the part while spending as little as possible

Haha well I guess where the air is rare! My wife wants to kill me every time I talk about my truck! Well without an adequate lift or fenders you might have to do the NorCal fender mod my friend

She used to be the same until she drove it offroad for the first time. Now she's always wanting to borrow it to run errands haha. She said she loves the looks she gets when people see that there's a redhead girl driving lol.

I would like to know as well.

I know i've seen someone running 295/70/18s on method +18 offset wheels, which are 34s and they didnt rub anything but the liner... but thats the only thing i've seen about tires that big on just a level.

My 305/55/20's -12 offset rubbed at full lock on the inner fender with a 4" lift. Mcgauphy 7-9 now to run 35's. Not sure how anyone can run 35's with just a level.

Yes I did! I ended up mocking up my 35/12.5/17 K02s w/ 0 offset Methods on a stock/ leveled truck and they rub very badly. Definitely do not recommend.

 

With a good amount of trimming and the correct offset it could probably be fairly "drive-able".

 

Interesting fact I found out, 35's will rub on the body mounts with 0 offset wheels with a level with the fenders completely removed. Pushing out the hubs 2.5" with new UCA/LCA on each side fixed all that however.

Dont know that I want more than about 3" of additional height on my truck and probably don't have the money to spend on new fenders, even though yours look so awesome!

      Can ask that about a lot of places.   Holiday sells 91 for $1 over 87 octane. BP 93 is 80 cents. Amoco 93 is 80 cents Kwik Trips is $1.20 for 92 or whatever they have and $1 for the 91.   I know that this is not exactly same as what you are saying with the premium to premium debate of those two stations but why is there such a difference. Top Tier this and that, it's all BS. All the fuel comes from the same damn refinery, so give me a break.

      Why does Mobil Premium cost 90 cents a gallon more than Shell Premium when their regular offerings are but pennies apart?

      Was all the way down to $3.69 a gallon but then jumped back to $3.99 just because for some reason.   Diesel floats between $4.80's to $5.10ish a gallon. I even saw Diesel #1 for $6.09 today but nobody in there right mind even buys that in the summer.

      Mine just keeps lagging or getting stuck on the reverse camera. When I turn off the truck, get out, and close the door it will still stay on. It’s very intermittent and I would not be able to duplicate the issue.

      I was checking out fuel prices at my farm fuel retailer at their pumps and yes the farm price is a bit lower than the non dyed fuel and was glad to see that the regular farm gas price has dropped a lot from what it had been but what blew me away was the price of diesel as the spread now compared to before the prices went up earlier in the year, diesel was actually slightly lower than gas which was a switch from the theme the last number of years. However that sure isn't the theme lately and definitely not right now. The prices I will post are not from that retailer but just looking at gasbuddy for the main city in this area and instead of posting the lowest price someone found I will list the higher price ( and that may not be the highest price, just whatever someone posted on gasbuddy ).   So regular gas and there are a lot of stations listing the same price for regular is 1.68 a liter, premium 2.00 a liter. Diesel 2.03 a liter for a top price I saw on diesel.   Figures out to 6.36 a us gallon Canadian funds for regular and 7.68 for diesel. With the US exchange rate it would be 4.58 us for regular and 5.53 for diesel.    Thought I would figure that out to get a picture of what it settles out like compared to various US prices and its about the same as the current price in Fairbanks AK as Anchorage tends to be lower. So yes, these would be the prices and higher along the way on the Alaska highway where they know they have a captured market !, for fuel prices for those beginning the long drive back to the lower 48   The problem is our Canadian dollar and going to the states that have the high prices, boy do we pay then !
