Sorry, I didn't know what "long tube" referred too, I assume (now) a brand of header. Sorry for the confusion.

Long tube refers the type of header themselves. Your stock headers are "short" meaning the collector (the part all the tubes come together) is closer to each head. Aftermarket headers (at least all that I've seen for our trucks) are almost always "long" meaning that each individual pipe to the collector is longer. This gets into a pretty long and complicated topic with a lot of physics behind it but for arguments sake long headers allow for more exhaust gasses to be pushed through thus helping your engine breathe better and making you some more HP. They also sound mean as hell.

Yeah, the cell phone vid really didn't capture the raspyness of the Catless Headers and Borla. I thought it sounded good for the most part, it was just really raspy on any kind or harder acceleration.

 

Putting the OEM catback on with the Catless Headers, and taking out the OEM muffler and putting the the Borla in it's place was a big win for me. I think having the OEM resonator in place really helps keep it in check.

I already feel sorry for my neighbors when I start it up in the morning but with the headers there gonna hate me but the sound will be worth it

I have just a Borla S Type catback. Will adding some headers make the entire system THAT much louder!? Dont think i can do any more sound on morning start ups lol

I'm sure it'll be quite loud! I have the Corsa sport on my 6.2 (no headers) and I've already had complaints of waking people up when i leave for work at 5am and was at my buddys watching football all day and left at midnight, apparently woke his neighbors! From listening to sound clips, the corsa and atak are sililar volume, maybe atak even being louder!

Headers with Borla atak is going to be loud. I had Borla ProXS with headers and it was too loud. I had to put the resonator back on to quiet it down. Now it's perfect.

Speaking from experience......07softail is right lol

 

I had the volant catback with ARH catless headers and jesus lol

 

New 2016 is too quiet now maybe going to do the same setup on the new truck.
