Hey guys., here's what I did to my 2015 Silverado if anyone is interested.

 

I learned that our my link system is able to play video, which I was a huge plus for me, the only disadvantage was the video in motion locked. So I ended up adding a navigation radio unlocked interface, which it totally worked. Now I can watch recorded videos. This is what I mean by that. I have a 8gb USB memory card where I downloaded videos from YouTube change the format to MP4 and it's totally working flawlessly. My kids are excited about it now since I downloaded a few Daniel tiger show. Now what I'm interested is on doing the phone mirror so I can stream. If anyone know of a way to do without breaking the bank I'll appreciate any input. Cool. I wonder if my io5 my link without nav will play MP4 videos. I tried playing a music video which I thought I reformatted to mp4, in my 14 but it wouldn't actually play. I am following this topic.

 

I don't have anything to add on how to get the mirror capability without having those oem guys or the mvi guys reprogram your unit.

Ive have been playing videos and movies on my 2014's (three of 'em) since day one by converting to mp4 also but I can't see spending a lot of cash to pay for an unlock because the resolution on the screen is only 480p I think. It would be nice if GM would upgrade to a higher resolution screen for the next gen trucks coming out but I haven't heard of this yet and if it hasn't happened yet it won't happen anytime soon.

The radio unlocked interface is about 299, unlike MVI 600 ish.. and it took me less than 10 min. To install beside in my case was worth it., it doesn't make much sense to MP4 videos and watch them only when truck is parked.

:banghead: Watching while driving, yeah that's exactly what I want as I am riding my motorcycle in the vehicle next to me or worse behind me. What is wrong with society today? Hurry up with the auto driving already, I trust that more than many people on the road.

Good news!! My kids approved and loved watching their favorite show in my truck.. having a 2 year old and a 9 month old crying in the car it's not fun but this mod is definitely a must have.![emoji1303]

      Because single shot injectors are ancient and multi hole injectors provide smoother running engines and sharper throttle response due to the fuel being atomized better..the best lead I have is a 24lb blue top injector almost everything matches up but the injector will put out about 26lb/hr which is just outside the gm threshold.figured id ask here to see if there was an absolute answer

      Why is my question?   Any change in injectors requires a tune. Unless you are going back with the OEM part number or a newer part number of that same injector.   Any size difference or type difference like the EV6 style injectors all have different injector data for them. And there is no EV6 injector that matches the factory 25 lb/hr size that your truck comes with. I've been messing with these trucks and tuning them for a long time and what you trying to do doesn't exactly make sense to me.

      My 6.6 gas lt8 had lifter noise with 28000 miles bought new 2026 and while driven to dealer it threw #1 rod bearing “HD my ass” good luck with yours i hope it don’t turn a rod bearing!

      Thought it was raining this morning when we woke. Nope. Dew point was over 80 F and humidity 98%. Zero visibility distance. Everything was 'sweating'. I've seen rain come out of clouds but never out of Pepper or the tree trunks.    Wicked storms just missed us sliding off to the east but by blocks. Heat index about 110 F with air temp in the 90's.    This is  our third wave this month of multiple days of this type of weather. And yet the grass is going dormant and the ground is cracking this side of the street and water up the the hood opposite. Just weird stuff going on.
