The dealers are at the mercy of whatever information the manufacturer decides to provide to them, no matter how much of a fit they may throw, the dealers are just little people to the manufacturer. It's the "You'll get it when we decide you get it, and we don't care if your customers are pissed and decide to go to another brand, there are plenty of other suckers out there for us to take money from" type of mentality.

I'm not sure how you're reaching that conclusion. The pictures clearly show the new hood, and the vin lines right up with a '17 L5P

Fingers crossed. Mine is the first one due at my local dealership, so if they're actually moving, it gives me some hope I'll see my new 2017 before 2017.

A couple more have popped up today. There's a High Country in Paducah, KY with pictures taken of it on the lot. Normally I wouldn't be so OCD and lack patience, but I need to take delivery and cut the check prior to 12/31 for tax reasons.

I don't even know why I care as much as I do, I sit here with a '16 I'm perfectly content with.

And even if I got top trade for mine, even with my gms it still leaves 5k on the table, which I can't do unless I want a divorce.

Something about that hood though, and no Bosch fuel system. I'll just have to wait to see what real world driving brings and think about an '18 possibly if it's that good.

They slapped it on the dyno and it made 403hp and 879 ft-lbs.

As of yesterday afternoon, my truck was shown as being bayed in New Boston, MI, awaiting train transport. Does anyone know the significance of New Boston or the facility there?

Can you tell me where you went to find out where your truck is? I am waiting for my 3500 and my dealer can't seem to get details on mine. It was built Nov 16. I have the Order Number and VIN. Thanks!

I essentially bothered my dealer continuously, to the point of letting my 2-year-old daughter terrorize the showroom. He, in turn, bothered GM until they told him to stop calling or emailing except for Tuesdays and Fridays.

Yesterday, he received an email from the Dealer Business Center with the latest update, indicating it was in New Boston, awaiting train transport.

Some interweb searching indicates that New Boston is the marshaling yard for CSX, and from there it's due to be railed over to MA, where it'll go on a truck to the dealer.

Does anyone have experience with the loading and/or transport time frames? I'm quickly running out of time to get this thing delivered. It's only two weeks to 2017, and I need it delivered and paid for to get the money off the 2016 books.
