2014+ Quietest performance exhaust.. Help please.

Looking to upgrade the exhaust on my 2016 Silverado. I don't want a loud exhaust because I use hand free phone a lot in my car. But would like some performance improvements? Is sound repeated to performance? Any suggestions? Thanks.

Just cut the muffler off. Not loud at all inside. Even my sensitive wife who did NOOOT want me to change the exhaust, never noticed. But it has a very satisfying growl out back. Also, cheapest exhaust mod short of just tying the flapper open.

If you want it quiet you must keep that flapper valve operating. with that said almost any exhaust one these trucks is fairly quiet even straight pipes aren't as loud as you might think if the stock converters are left in.

The stock exhaust flows pretty well, save your coin and keep what you have.

I have the flowmaster single cat back system and I'm very happy with it, not too loud in the cab but definitely noticeable outside of the truck. Really sounds great while I'm towing a trailer, but like any aftermarket kit it has the v4 drone a bit but that's easily fixed by running in manual mode or a tune.
