Fuel Issue need some ideas/help 97 chevy suburban Lt K1500 5.7

Like the tittle says I have a 1997 4x4 Chevy Suburban Lt with a 5.7 gas motor , it isn't a pretty truck truck it isn't economical but its mine and been my daily driver :nopity: until about six months ago, since then I have been borrowing cars when I need to go somewhere and its getting old. I am to the point where gotta ask for help figuring this thing out :banghead::help:

I have gone form "thinking" I know what the problem was to just guessing and throwing lots of new parts at it which didn't work either (I know better , it's just hard to ask for help) I'm still pretty sure my problem is a fuel issue sometimes the fuel pressure gauge reads 55-60 when I install new pump and then drops to 5  first thing I think of is in-tank fuel pump went bad witch I have replace three just in case they where bad , I get the same results. I have power to the grey wire in the pigtail connector just above fuel tank when key is turned on. I can hear fuel pump run if someone turns the key on while I am under the back tank. Next I started throwing new parts at it trying to hope I get the right thing here is a list :

1) in-tank Fuel pumps --3 -- no effect

2) In-line Fuel filter --2 -- no effect

3) Fuel injection spider assembly (nothing wrong with the old one I could find, it was only about 1-2 years old) -- no effect

4) Fuel relay -- no effect

5) ECM computer -- no effect

6) Timing Chain & gears -- where original 279K miles had some slop in it of about one tooth so it needed replacement anyway ---- no effect on issue

7) crank possession sensor -- on effect

8) spark plugs -- no effect

9) spark plug wires --- no effect

10) map sensor --- is reading now otherwise no effect

11) O2 sensors -- is reading now, when it runs , otherwise no effect

12) I also blow out the fuel lines to be sure nothing was clogged in there --- no effect

I know this is wrong way to do it , but if someone try's to start engine it starts then immediately dies, but if 2nd person sprays starting fluid just enough to keep it running then the engine runs until they stop, this also makes me feel it is a fuel issue. I know I have Air, I know I have Fire but have no idea why I can't get fuel pressure :dunno:

:help::help::help:I am looking for some help , any ideas would be appreciated :help::help::help::help::help:

I would hope you replaced the whole assembly when you mention fuel pump.

the biggest killer of the pump is that damn float for fuel level gauge.

they have updated since 1997, brand new by carter or any "ts16949" standard should have it.

the pumps are nice, even back to 1996.. what surrounded them was not.

no such thing as a silly question

Yes I thought of that a couple of times ..lol The fuel spider that was replaced has a brand new fuel regular the side of it and is doing the same thin as the one that came out they don't actual have a vac line hooked up this is inside the valley area. I honestly don't recall the vac numbers the scanner was showing now but it was acceptable.

I am ordering a whole new pickup with new pump and harness this time to see if that fixes the issue. I did find a bulletin 05D-J-083 that they have low voltage issue and suggest changing the harness plug form the metri-pack 150 to a Gt280 connection however my truck already has the newer style plug in the harness so I am hoping its a bad wire in the pickup causing the issue........ but at this point everything is a guess

I got a brand new fuel module, with new pump and sock again. I just finished dropping tank and installing it , turned the key Hoping suburban would start ..... nope :M16: it is still a piece of yard art :tear:
