Going through Buy-Back process (vibration issue)

As the topic title states, I'm going through the buy back process now. I have read other threads stating that people have had negative experiences with GM. I will say that it was kind of exhausting going through the initial vibration analysis but it appears the ball is rolling and I should have the new vehicle next week. I don't want to post up the new truck yet, as it hasn't been finalized, meaning keys are in my hand...lol.. I would also like to express to people that are on the fence with this, patients and kindness goes a long way. It is amazing how much "power" the Regional Manager has when it comes to the buy back.

Once everything is complete I will post my overall experience.

I know the feeling well, took like 3 months from the time I officially made the request on my 2014. My 2016 may be in the buyback process soon if GM cant figure out why the HMI modules keep dying in it. I am on the 4th one right now and it is on its way out as well. Waiting for a field engineer to comes down to help the dealer find out why the modules keep dying.

Me too, I wont be taking a trade assist on this one if it gets to that point. I have too much stuff invested into the truck and too many mods on it now.

Yeah, unfortunately I can understand that, I'm going to have to buy another license for the tuner, the window shades and custom exhaust are going with the truck. Luckily I was able to take out the catch can, intake, Kicker VSS upgrade and bed cover BUT the kicker and bed cover aren't going to fit the new truck.. so hopefully they will sell.

Ok well today I picked up my new truck. So I went from a 2015 double cab SLE w/ 5.3 with SLE value package and Z-71package. The window sticker said $46K but I ended up paying 36K - 5K down, so over all financing was $31K.

Today I picked up a 2017 SLT CC w/ 5.3. It has the premium plus package, Z71 package and a sunroof. So the window sticker was $56... but here is the kicker I only paid the amount that I owed on the 2015... $22K.. I'm still in disbeilf that this was approved.

THANK YOU GM!

Well after yesterday's day trip.. the truck has the same vibration as my 2015. I will bring it to the dealership and have them verify the tired aren't out of balance first. If everything checks out, them I'm going to have the driveshaft looked at by a certified driveline shop. I honestly believe that it is a driveline problem and nothing more.
