Will 33x12.5x15's fit without much scrubbing on a stock 1987 chevrolet 1/2 ton 4x4 with stock rally wheels?

My first truck was a 1987 V10. Before I lifted it, I ran 32x11.50x15 BFG's, and they cleared just fine...even going through ditches and stuff. A 33x12.50 might have cleared too, but it would have been close. Probably depends on the exact brand/tread of tire you choose, and how much the factory springs have settled over the years.

+1 on what Big Whiskey said 33's will be close to rubbing the bottom fender corners at full turn.

I wish I still had mine, I ran 10" suspension lift 3" body lift and 42" Super Swampers on my 87 I had.

Yep, I wish I still had mine too. I ran a 6" and 35's on mine. And those TBI 350's sound awesome with true dual exhaust and glasspack mufflers, haha.

V-10?

Somewhere in the timeline the trucks when from C (2WD) and K (4WD) to R (2WD) and V (4WD). So a V10 is what most of us know as a K10, or a 4WD 1/2 ton.

I think.

Yes I had 32-11.50's on my 89 K5 that was about as big as you could go before adding blocks back in the day.

Yes, you're correct. It's what most people know as a K10. In fact, I think 1987 was the only year that the 1/2 ton 4x4's were designated with a V. When the body style changed in 1988, I think they went back to K, but used 1500, 2500, etc. instead of 10, 20.

And now that I think about it....you could still get the square body full size blazers and square body one-tons until 1991...but I'm not sure how they were labeled...

It can be done, but you will have to trim the fenders. For a time, I ran 33/12.50R15 BFG Mud Terrains with no lift. My truck was an 87 Custom Deluxe V10. I remember cutting the front and rear edge of the fenders with a cut off wheel, pinching the metal together and spot welding.
