As a toy I like the Raptor. I just don't like how Ford is pushing the Ecoboost so hard, even in vehicles where they should offer a V8 as another option but won't. Like the new GT and I think they'll start making the Mustang without a V8 as an option. I think the V8 is being pushed out of the F150 soon also. The only bad thing about the Raptor no matter the engine is the low tow and payload ratings. That's understandable since the suspension is soft and I believe travels more. It just takes less weight to make it squat. I'm still not a fan of the all aluminum either. I know they did it so they can up the payload and tow ratings. I also know that GM uses relativity thin metal, but I think it's still tougher than the aluminum Ford body. I just remember seeing a video of a guy literally tearing the body apart with his bare hands with no real effort. Might have used pliers at some times but that's it. Also from that GM commercial you'd think Ford would have at least put steel for the inside of the bed for the floor and walls since that's what takes the beating. I guess they wanted to say all aluminum bad enough to not do that.

People will get use to it. I wouldn't mine have a ford made out of fiberglass from the mid late 60s

The heaviest thing I would tow is my CJ7. Roughly 5-6k lbs including the trailer. It should be ok towing that occasionally.

 

If it blows up out of warranty maybe I'll be the first guy to LS swap a Raptor. Heh.

There is no stock GM truck with a 6.2L that does 0-60 in the 4's. What are you smoking? Hell the 6.2L in a 2WD is barely making 5.9 seconds 0-60.

I wouldn't want a EcoBoost, I wouldn't want a 'truck' that couldn't pull north of 7500# besides that there great for D**K measuring contests!
