Ordered a RCSB

Hey everyone,

I put a deposit down on a 2017 Silver RCSB last month and was updated that it should start production this upcoming week. The dealer only had crew cabs or regular cabs that were long beds with the V6. They searched up to 1000 miles away and couldn't find the truck I wanted in their inventory.

I got the silver W/T 5.3, 2WD, 3.42s, 6L80e, with E85 flexfuel compatibility. The lightest combo with the most power. I needed a tow rig for my race car.

I've always wanted to build a automatic turbo truck so this may get some love in the future. I'm psyched.

Congrats! I still wish you could order one with the 6.2 and a procharger.

I would have got the 6.2 in a heartbeat. I've never had a good experience with centrifugal superchargers on my vette (Belt slip/snap issues all the time). I'm a fan of turbos.

Congrats on ordering your new truck! Since you will be towing I assume you checked the box for Trailer Equip Pkg.

I always liked a 4WD and longer wheelbase truck for towing. How about posting the truck's option list?

Good luck with your new ride!

Really? Over at corvetteforums it seems like everybody's running those or the ECS.

No I didn't get the trailer option. I was going to get a hitch later. I did get the locking dif though.

My experience with ECS was extremely sub par. They are big sponsors of the forum so the moderators delete and hide all negative reviews of them. All you see are the positive ones but there are dozens of hidden negatives. I can tell you a centri is not for a daily driven vehicle. Dailies should have PD blower or turbos. I prefer turbos because there's no belt strain on your accessories.

Congrats and I hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine ! 5000 miles and 22 MPG.

2016 Summit white W/T with 5.3, 6 Speed, and 3.42 with limited slip that was part of the trailer equipment package.

For now I'm staying in stealth mode with the factory steel wheels and stock ride height. Looks like just another municipal V6 work truck.

Congrats! I had to order my RCSB too. Black Z71 5.3L 6 speed 3.42s, etc. loaded.

You're going to love it! Just don't get wrapped up in all the nonsense complaints, a lot of them are nothing more than trolls!

Congrats! If would have ordered one it would've been a regular cab because I do not need a backseat at all. The double cab is nice to have in worst case scenario situations but my passengers aren't happy about the leg room LOL. But have fun with it!

Ive had two,Vortec on a 99 ford two years 100K miles one belt. Now a whipple on a 92 383 stroker in my chevy p/u . I've had this one 5years same belt, two year as a daily driver. I did slip the belt sometimes on the Vortec, my fault it was a stick and I put a smaller pulley on it and would over rev it trying to speed shift a truck tranny. Plenty of turbos on diesels no preference.

Congrats!! I also had a hard time finding that combo, but it popped up on local dealer lot randomly. I love mine so far.
