Silverado 2500...2016 vs. 2017

I was shown that the new F150s have it. Do the Super Dutys or Dodge HDs have it as well?

I suppose. My 2015 2500 is about as good as I need. Nothing being made really causes me to want to stop into a dealer and check it out. My 2500 hasn't been back to the dealer since I drove it off the lot in March of 2015, and I haven't even looked at anything on a dealer lot. And no Dmax really interests me, or PS or Cummins for that matter. I dread the day I have to finally cave in and buy a new semi truck. That is even more depressing concerning diesel reliability. But may have to for business. Diesel reliability is nothing like the past before the emissions stuff came along, and I don't suffer from little man syndrome.

And the point of those listings? Nothing there that interests me. Pricing is more than any pickup is worth to me.

I got my 16 in August. MSRP was $68,160. I got 20% off without having to haggle.

2500HD Duramax LTZ Z71 Crew Cab 4x4. About the only thing it doesn't have are the power folding running boards. Fixed 6" chrome tubes instead.

Illinois. Springfield, IL

Couldn't get my local dealer (you can google search if you want to know who they are) to return a call or answer an email so I bought it from George Weber Chevrolet in Columbia, IL. Stopped in at the local joint a few weeks after getting it and talked to the sales manager. He was pretty ticked at his guys considering this was my 3rd truck purchase in 6 years. The previous 2 were 1/2 ton gassers. Finally got what I have wanted for a long long time. The BIG D!

Not sure how much difference but I just picked up a 2016 that was almost 10K off MSRP ( $52,945) Paid $43,167 that's $9,778 off MSRP Not bad....
