Rancho 4" installed!!!

Hey Texas Sandman, I would think you would be ok as long as those stock rims have a good bit of positive offset. Mine are +44 I believe. My tires are very close to my front bumper so you might have a tiny rub on your front bumper or you might clear them. Every truck is different and varies just enough. Those tires would only be about a 1/2 inch taller than mine so I can't say for sure if they would fit.

I just installed the rough county 3.5 inch lift in mine and I was wondering if I could run 35x12.5/20s any thoughts? I have procomp metal mulish 20x9 with 0 offset. Thanks guys!!

 

Probably could run them, but most likely you'll be trimming. My Rancho 4" is actually a full 5" of spindle lift, and I have 35's with +18 offset wheels and still had to trim the lower plastic air dam a bit.

If you don't mind, I think a good indicator of the actual lift of this would be to measure the difference between the two bolt holes for the lower control arms on the drop crossmember

 

Once my steering stops falling apart I wouldn't mind getting this lift

 

Still waiting for decent weather to grab pics. Its either sunny during the day when I'm at work, and dark when I get home, or rainy on the weekends lol! Days are getting longer and nicer so I'll make it happen soon!

2015VORTECZ71 thanks for the info on the 295/60/20s. I got the new nitto ridge grapplers installed today and had no issues with rubbing. Tires look good. I just bought same ones. its new tire, but heard good things. Mine are 295/70 R18, think same size as you. Once my lift goes on i will post.

I am planning 4" ready lift w/shocks, new UCA, and tie rods and diff spacers to keep all aligned. And 1.5" wheel spacers to keep stock wheels and have no issue with rubbing. I am getting Bush wacker extend-a fender flares as well. I like nice wide stance and also installing 2" blocks to keep back up little for towing...and cuz i like the look.

That will look good, that's going to push the tires out a good bit. Ive always been weird about running spacers and towing.

Yeah..i know people are skeptical but believe it or not, the research i did actually strengthened my decision. They were made for a 2500 and assume the load that will be on it. If you think about it, you have 8 more lugs so 16 total to give strength to the wheel, and aircraft grade aluminum. I just will have to check torque settings after 50 mi, then 100. I dont want to cut the stock studs so i have to make sure i get the right size, might have to go to 2"

Just contemplating how to fill the wheel opening to my satisfaction I'm thinking as tall as possible, I may lift a little more to get where I feel I need to be.

I gotcha, if you lifted alittle more then you could definitely fit the 285/65 or even 35s if you really wanted too. The problem is our square shaped wheel wells, we have to lift our trucks alot higher then the Dodge and Ford guys to fit bigger tires.

    • On 2021 3500hd it consistently sets automatically when selecting park if the incline/decline is above a certain angle. 
    • Curious, did anyone ever get a fix for the vibration reported here.   I have a 2024 Silverado with 6.6 duramax.   I’m noting the same vibration resonating up through the steering shaft into the steering wheel.    Best way to describe- like someone is tapping on the steering shaft/components and it’s resonating into the steering wheel.    thanks. 
    • Hi friends - first time poster. I have a 2015 sierra Denali with 150k miles, I’m the second owner and she’s given me 75k of great service. I run a pulse AFM disable device. Starting Thursday when I exited the freeway after a short local ride it started idling rough, with an obvious misfire shake and was down on low end power.  I got it home and hooked it up to my scannner and found no codes but in live data a pretty bad misfire on cylinder 5. I replaced the coil, plug and wire with all new OE replacements (Delphi gn10165 coil, acdelco wire and 41-168 plug). It’s still behaving the same way after firing the parts cannon at it.   I know cyl 5 is a non AFM cylinder so I am not thinking this is AFM related but I’m kinda at a loss. injector? Bent pushrod? It’s running too well over 1k rpm to suggest those IMO. Has anyone chase this issue before and what was it? Any suggestions? 
    • 2017 Silverado L83 5.3l 6speed transmission Hello, not a new member but havent posted in a while and my old signup info isnt working so had to create a new account. anyways, I have an issue with my truck and hope someone can spread some light on whats happening: -when it goes to 4cyl mode it makes a clunk sound (but not when coasting or going downhill) -when in 4 cyl mode and under load it makes a load pulsating sound (not a tick). -goes away completely when in M5 gear or when plugging in an AFM delete. Im guessing it is one of 2 things but im not convinced of either to be honest. 1. lifter stuck in v8 mode 2. torque converter shudder realistically it doesn't seem like the TC as there is no physical vibration , and it never happens in v8 mode. but maybe? and wouldnt a lifter make a sound whether with load or not? any ideas let me know please. thank you!  
    • Which has made me wonder with the various engine failures of a few brands in the last few years, is it sub par materials such as lifters etc causing failures, or bearing clearances on the crank etc or perhaps bad designing of an engine physically or causing too much load on the components due to the hp/torque they can push out of them. Or is the oil viscosity and additive package of current oils or a lack of oil flow by an oil pump not able to supply sufficient oil at idle or under high load at low rpm. Or is it every item I listed that combined together has pushed the limits so far to the left that there is hardly a margin of safety left and add in some fuel dilution and too long of an OCI and premature engine failure is the result ?.
