Truck was just in to replace 4 lifters. Service said this was a known issue and the lifters are redesigned. Wanted to share the info.

Go with another brand because you had a problem and sounds like they took care of it....I love people who come on here and dog out GM.

Yeah, and Fords don't have issues (leaks, tranny, plugs.....) nor Dodges/Rams. (transmissions)

Toyota's never rust out their frames and the 2003-2008++ Ford Powerstroke diesels never needed anything like injectors, turbos, ..............go bad costing THOUSANDS......

My bother and Dad both had issues with lifters (cyl #4) whicj resulted in bent pushrods. One a 14 denail 6.2 and the other a Ltz 6.2. Both in the last week. Both in the 3x,000 mile range.

I had a bent push rod 50k. Asked why or how but had no explaination. All though the vehicle in another forum I explained does like to rev up 1000 rpm daily between shifts.

Just got a recall from toyota today on our van. No fix yet just acknowledging there is a problem with the power doors. Wife said oh yes that has happened never knew until today.

Every brand has issues manufacturing isnt perfect

this is why it is best to rebuild your engine every 20k miles. I have been doing that and now have 86k trouble free miles besides 4 rebuilds
