Body Shop or Dealer?

My 2014 took some pretty moderate damage in a hail storm back in April. The insurance adjuster who came out wrote up the estimate as a replace on the hood, roof, driver side front quarter panel and driver side back bed panel. Then a repair/paintless on both driver side doors on the crew cab. Body shops finally starting opening up in November but with the holidays, I was too busy and didn't get it taken care of. As I've thought more about next steps, I've wondered if a reputable body shop is the right answer or if I should think about the dealer. My main concern is the paint match once the replacements have been made. I know there will be supplemental adds to what the adjuster put down, so there is likely more that needs to be done, possibly other replacements. Any one have thoughts/experience around this and if I should use one or the other?

i try and do everything through the dealer... just IMO.. ..i think it would be easier to fight if things didn't turn out like you liked.

Dealer with their own body shop. Win win.

I personally would use a good body shop. A good body shop will take care of and fix anything that you didn't like so the good ones stand behind their work. Plus most dealers don't have their own body shop and just send it to an actual body shop. A body shop deals with this stuff everyday while a dealer doesn't I would think.

A dealer with a body shop, that way you can somewhat feel at ease that they will use OEM parts

Thanks guys. I've decided I'm going to use my dealer. They are positioned next to a chain body shop and I always thought they used that shop. Learned late yesterday they have their own, so I will visit them next week to get estimates. Appreciate the input!
