Hi, I'm new to the forum.

I searched briefly for some help/assistance with exterior mirrors. My 2017 Silverado 1500 Z71 has the standard side, power mirrors. I test drove one that had this cool feature where they would tilt down slightly when backing up. I'd like to switch my mirrors for the ones that have 1- the built in signal light 2- the electric fold-in function and 3- the ones that tilt down when backing up. I found all of these features very appealing in my last truck. Is this available through the GM dealership? Aftermarket?

Any help would be appreciated!

Try searching this site for "DL8 to DL3 Swap." From GM, can't do it. GM does not support adding the full feature mirrors to a truck not built with them, and they are not a plug and play deal if you took yours out and installed those.

Check your manual, it used to be a setting that you turned on to have the mirrors tilt while backing up

OP mentioned he has the standard power mirrors DL8. Those don't have the reverse tilt feature. DL3 mirrors do.

Plus as all the threads already mentioned it is a TON of work. You need to change mirrors, switch, harnesses, and even custom wire some functions if you want them all to work. Then on top of that you need to have your BCM flashed to an "LTZ-style" truck (which most dealers won't do).
