Coolant type ???

Has anyone done a swap from GM Dexcool to standard coolant or zerex ???? I'm up for another coolant change and was thinking of changing over .. Thanks anyone for input.

Sorry. I'm a little behind on my slang. Don't quite understand what "served" means.. Anyway I have heard that the Tang can cause issues with seals going bad. Just wondering if anyone has done the swap .. Thanks

Yes, it was a little cryptic - even for me.

 

I checked my Shakespeare collection, but could find nothing.

 

Then, remembered those rascals on Gilligan's Island once performed Hamlet, to the music of Carmen. Still, no luck.

 

Anyways, if the Dex hasn't caused any problems, would continue with that. The original gaskets/seals you are talking about were probably under engineered, to begin with.

I flushed dexcool and replaced with standard green 6 months ago. All good.
