Mahogany Metalic

I purchased a 2016 Mahogany Metalic SLT. Have not seen another one. Was this color a low production option. My window sticker states that it was an additional $395. Anyone out there have one ? Love the truck, traded in an 2012 Silverado. Great improvement in ride, options and quality.

It was a one year colour -- it's not available for 2017.

I have a 2016 GMC Sierra with the mahogany metallic color and love it. I think they only had this color for a couple of years and I don't see too many trucks with this color in my area. This is what I like about it. A lot of people come up to me stating they like the color or giving me the thumbs up . I just feel a lot of people just over looked it.

I do agree with you fellow members about the post being worthless without pictures. I did try to upload some and was denied because the site said the file was too large. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I have iPhone with tap talk app it makes it real easy can't speak for other phones but I thought the app works well with most smart phones.I was on forums before tap talk and used photo bucket alot but sometimes I had to do a down size file.

I am so glad they discontinue this color. I got one and it is pretty cool because it "pops" because there are not too many or very few around my area that has this color. I had this color on my Chevy Blazer (1978) with a two tone white color wide side strip many years ago. The Toyota Tundra has it and I saw it on different cars etc.. It was only available in 2016 on the 1500 GMC Sierra and Silverado. People come up to me almost every day saying they like the color. I got the truck and didn't see the color (brought it on another dealership lot) until my dealer got it from the other dealership. Very happy with this color.

It looks cool, but it reminds me of the purpleish brown goop that you get when you randomly mix too many different colors of paint together. If you have ever disposed of paint, this is the exact color you get...

Here in Tennessee we have a unique word for that color called "BROWN" ...Just kidding. I like it. But like my color I bet it shows door dings like a bitch. I have a Pop a Dent guys number on speed dial. I bet it looks good at night. If you don't mind just a little advise. Clean any bird crap ? off immediately! The metallic colors really show any imperfections in the clear coat "BigLeague" as Trump would say.

I got one. I agree, don't see many at all. Get a lot of "thumbs up" from folks, it's a nice color.

 

The only thing I didn't recognize about this color.... it is as bad, or worse, than black. EVERY little spec of dust/dirt is painfully obvious. Gotta wash her a little more that my last blue one.
