I was having a hooligan moment and decided to do some spins. Well afterward I went to do a U-turn on pavement and the diff was still locked causing a rough U-turn. It unlocked shortly after. Is this normal?

Thanks. What causes it to unlock? A full stop? Reverse?

Should just do a couple rotations not under power to unlock the auto locker

Mine was at extremely low speed, making a three point turn on a slight incline in gravel...nothing any of you wouldn't encounter.

It should unlock at any speed above 20 or 25 mph. There are a lot of youtube videos that show how the Eaton G80 works internally. I have had mine act funny in slick conditions it jerks and snatches a bit but it will unlock once you speed up. The prawls on the inside should disengage from rotational force once a certain speed is achieved unless there is something broken. The snatching and jerking can be a bit unnerving if you do not expect it LOL First time my wife was riding with me and it did this she said "What's wrong with your truck" I told her NUTIN it is normal....

Now of course anything can be broken so you could have sheared a pin or something but I doubt it unless you have upped your HP and were really abusing the truck.
