Borla touring cat back

I just installed the Borla touring cat back 2017 Silverado 5.3. I love the sound. It's not as mild as they state. Mine is much louder then stock. If I can get the video to upload I will post it. It is cold start, starting after an hour and then accelerating onto highway and cruising then hard acceleration.

I bought the gm performance exhaust from borla. I agree with you, definitely louder than stock. I haul a bass boat so I didn't want the damn drone. It's sounds perfect hauling too.

Sounds really good.....I originally thought it was too quiet, but I really like it. The ATAK is just so loud (although not much different than my Corsa Sport).....I think the Borla S type is perfect.

How is the touring noise on the highway? Say going 65 up a slight hill? Is the exhaust loud where you can hear or does it really make no noise cruising under load like the stock exhaust? I bought the Flowmaster force 2 mild exhaust which sounded great around town but made too much drone cruising on the highway even in v8 mode.

It's great almost as quite in the cab as the stock exhaust. I've heard no drone at all.

It's really not bad. There is some sound under light acceleration up a hill but if the radio is on you really can't hear it. Mine is def louder then stock.

Thanks for the info. I'm definitely leaning towards the touring. Did you install yourself or at the dealer?

Love that Borla sound, only thing that makes it better is a nice Cold Air Inductions CAI kit to go with the catback. Makes sweet sweet music.....

I had a local muffler shop do it. Took like 20 minutes for them. I was too impatient to wait, it had just snowed the day after I got it and it got cold so I couldn't do it in the driveway.

I agree. I was back and forth on which one to get for my truck. I finally ended up on the Borla S-Type and am very happy with it. Perfect sound (not too much not too little sound).

They charged $150. Cut the old one out and bolted the new one on.
