35 on truck with stock rims

Recommended Posts

Thanks for the info. So far all have looked at procomp and rough country as they have a kit that works with the magnetic ride. I will check to see what zone has to offer as with bds I believe they only offer a 6 inch lift for magnetic ride and may be a little higher than I want to go. Procomp says no on stock rims and rc says i need spacers. I have read rc are junk but dont have experience with them.

The RC kits from what i gather give you really bad angles for your front axels causing premature ware on parts that otherwise last a reallllyyy long time. People also say that instalation is a pain but i doubt many installed their own lifts to even notice. I would stay away just because of the piece of mind that BDS and Zone offer, they backup the kits with powertrain warranties for your truck and that to me says a lot of how good they think their kits are.

Pro comp, Fabtech, zone are some good mid range kits to look at.

BDS seems to be the high end kits

Fabtech makes a kit that is priced similar to rc. Procomp is up there in price with bds. Have to see what kit is better suited. Do you happen to know what the baskspacing is on the stock 20s?

Not too sure what the BS on the stockers is.

Here are some pics of the drivers side at full lock in both directions.

Thanks for the pics. No rub on the sway bar or anything either. Looks like any rub would be when the suspension is compressed in a turn but looks like its not that bad.

This is why i did a LOT of research on here reading the lift sticky to see what will actually fit. I PMd a LOT of people asking for pics and asked for specs and asked a LOT of questions.

I got EXACTLY what i wanted and am so happy with the lift that i would do this exact setup all over again.

I appreciate all the info you have provided me with. Very useful for me to make my decision. Was considering setteling on a leveling kit but now going to eventually get the lift here in the near future.

Any rubbing with that set up? I wanna run 35's on a 2" level but fear they would run way too much.

The tire shop zip tied the carpet fender liner back when they installed the tires. There was still a minor rub on the carpet liner at full lock for a little while, but nothing bad at all. No rub on any metal or anything like that.

I lowered my BDS 6inch Fox coilovers down to 4.5" of lift in front and left the rear BDS leaf springs with factory block to keep a 2" rake.  I also fit 35x12.5 Toyo RT on stock 20" rims no rubbing.msg-130528-0-09109500-1506472962_thumb.jpegpost-130528-0-20933700-1499777915_thumb.jpg
