EDF Posted March 5, 2017 Posted March 5, 2017 Hi.. I'm new to this site and just wanted to know if there are any new fixes for the very dim headlights on my Silverado. Its a 2014 Z71 LTZ and has the Projection Type of headlight. I searched the archives and all of the posts that I found were from 2014.. Will the bulbs from the 2016-2017 trucks work? Thanks for any help that y'all can give...
cbrsilv15 Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 The bulbs are the same for 14/15. 16/17 have complete different assemblies. Your best bet is to look into a Morimoto HID kit for your truck. $170 and the best out there for a plug and play HID kit.
SilveradoSaver Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 I had the same issue on my '15 Silverado. Swapped out the bulbs for some LED's and it's much, much better. Plus I don't have to worry about ballasts which HID's would require.

MrNasty Posted March 6, 2017 Posted March 6, 2017 You can also put an H9 bulb in to replace H11. You have to modify the tab to go in factory harness but they are brighter and you can pick them up easy. Its a higher watt bulb and I have ran them for a year and a half with no problems.
