I have to say I'm a little disappointed in how GM mounts these fog lights. I ended up pushing the adjusting screw through its nylon retaining clip trying to get the bottom to engage. The bottom tab is the weakest point with the most flex.

I'm beyond frustrated. The icing on the cake will be when I have to buy a whole new fog light just to get the stupid clip.

I almost did, I ended up pulling out the round tab it locks into out. Installed the tab over the "ball" and popped them back into the truck. They popped right in. You can remove all 3 locking tabs/holes on each side if you want I only needed to do the one for the adjustment screw

Yeah the mounting blows for sure. I ended up removing the adjusting screw, clip and all from truck. Then I mounted it to the XB fog lights before replacing them. Used a bit of grease to lube tabs and easier to push them into clips. The guy who wrote the comment to use a 10mm socket on Fondupot's YouTube video had a good idea.??

BTW I really had to turn the adjustment screw way down after installation. At first it seemed like was attempting to hunt down treed possum or squirrel.

Hiserman you explained it way better than me! The clip/tab holding in the adjustment screw was the only one I removed from truck.

Got lucky with mine, marked the threads in old light housing put em new to mark thinking it be a good starting point. Didn't need to adjust. I was concerned because these things are bright! But I've driven about 3 hrs after dark with em on and no one has flashed me or I don't seem to be lighting up backseats either.

I followed the you tube video and removed the three retaining clips from the pocket it made reinstallation a lot easier I found there was too much tension on the clips just trying to snap the ball mounts back in to the sockets in the retainers! I do believe you can purchase the retainers separately?

Installed them today in my truck, relatively straightforward install.

To make it much easier i took out 5 wheel well screws and folded liner back, removed painted trim between the bumper and grille and then finagled it out.

The 10mm socket over the tabs was awesome. I checked them out against the garage door and they're amazingly brightx I have yet to see if they need adjustment.

The engineer that designed the bracket to hold these things does need a swift kick to the rear though.

Will be searching how to adjust them as the housing seems to block the adjustment screw.

I hope someone makes a video on the install for a silverado without taking the bumper off. I generally handle installing my own stuff, but this looks like an all day project.

It literally took me 1.5 hours with having to check on the puppy, making sure dinner wasn't burning and a few other things.

It's not hard, just time consuming. If you can unscrew a bolt and remove a few clips, anyone can do it.

I wanted to take pics, but my wife needed to take my truck with my son to Tae Kwon Do so I could put her summer tires on her car.

When I get the chance to do my brothers truck (2015 ltz) I'll take pictures. I'd do a video, but me and video editing don't work well together. I'll be in mexico all this weekend through next weekend and then I'll do it, if you can wait that long.

definitely not an all day project. At most 3 hours total lol. Literally only have to unbolt 6 or so 15mm bolts take apart old housing, get new one in and then make sure bumper is all straight still. Any questions send me a PM.

The one thing that caught me is the hook on the foglight housing that sits above the bumper and under the plastic between the bumper and grille. Remove the strip between the grille and bumper for sure.
