Honestly I would not be the least bit surprised that those may have came off of a truck that someone wanted chrome handles on instead of the colored ones and they sold you the takeoffs.

 

Not arguing with you, just telling you my story. Nope - they were brand new in the shipping boxes. Boxes still had the labels on them and were stapled shut with industrial staples. This was almost 2 years ago so it doesn't surprise me that GM changed it and doesn't sell them pre-painted anymore.
