Kicker soundgate issue

Got it all installed. Sounds good!! but why do I have engine noise every once in a while? Dealer installed.. I already called them and I know they will make it rite.. but does anybody know why? Info on my truck 2015 silverado ltz with bose.. stock stereo stock bose speakers..

Need to disable Active Noise Cancellation. .... Passenger side rear door sill violot and gray stripe wire...You cut it cap it and never think about it again

Thanks for the quick response... but what does that wite originally do in the truck?

I believe it's that crank position trigger wire for the anc ...So when you cut it the anc doesn't come on anymore...I didn't notice my cabin any louder

I had a deep vibration coming from my sub until I cut that wire...It was going through the microphones and coming back out of my sub

Yes engine noise... 100% installed by the dealer.. back in the day when I was big into stereos. The same noise was similar when the rca cords and the power wire where ran on the same side. I moved the rca cords to opposite side and no more engine noise..

I haven't looked yet but almost positive that the ground on the wire harness mounts on the negative on the battery

On my install, the instructions had me land the ground Driver side kick Panel area.

Oh ok thanks.. but if I have the dealer cut the wire... I can't talk through the truck anymore? If so then looks like the Kicker soundgate will be for sale

I did a video clip of what's going on.. again to hear the sound you have to be on a computer or in your truck. Or maybe good headphones... just showing anyone else that comes along with this same issue

That wire has nothing to do with the mic for Cellphone bluetooth. It is for Active Noise Cancellation.

Having to disable ANC was a deal breaker for me. If I do a stereo upgrade, I will probably just upgrade the sub in the center console. People seem to be getting good results going that route, and it's cheaper.

You would still need an amp to power the replacement subwoofer and an LCI of some sort.
