I used a 1/2 drive deep 27mm socket?, then a reducer to a 3/8 drive, then a reducer to a 1/4 drive, into a short 1/4 extension, into a 1/4 rachet drive.

Lay across your engine drop this combination down together using your fingers to support the bottom edge over sensor minus the rachet. Then add the ratchet after it is in place to remove. This worked great for me, I removed nothing else to reach it and the swap out. Pull your egr hose up out of your way as well.

Good luck

Well I wish it was that simple I ended up taking the the super charger off the truck to access the plate that the knock sensors screw into seems that the casting for that plate hangs over the oil pressure sensor so out came the Dremel a little off the side and reassemble my truck .. pain in the ass wish our would have seen that when I first put it together ... Thanks though
