hello, new poster here. Just ordered a new 2017 GMC 2500 Crew 4x4 with the 6.0. Have had 2 different F250 diesels in a row, and have gotten tired of the diesels from Ford. Have had several 1500 GMC's in the past, but NEVER a 2500 gas. I know i will level it up, NO lift kit and will add bigger tires. It has the 20" rims and I will be adding 275's or 295's, probably BFG's KO2. What kind of MPG, LITERALLY, will i get. Town vs Highway? I drive normal to slightly slower than average person. THANKS for ALL your help.

Mine is leveled with 275/65/18 duratracs. I always let it warm up and quite a bit in winter (-35c). Over its 43,000 km life it averages 20 litres per 100 km. That is with pulling trailers about once or twice a month. On a normal day on the highway it averages about 16 l/100 km.

I'm leveled on 285/75/17 (34" x 11.5"). I'm averaging around 12 mpg with a mix of town and 2-lane highway driving. City driving gets me around 9-10 mpg, and I can average close to 14 mpg on longer highway trips.

thanks for replies. Just was curious with a leveling kit or turning torsion bars, what MPG would be w/ 275 or 295's on 20's. THANKS

any other MPG's? Settling on 275/65/20 vs 285/65/20 BFG KO2's on a leveled GMC 2500 6.0. Trying to save some gas mileage so wanting to stay 275/285 ish since I'm getting the gas 6.0 this time. THANKS

I think you'll be very close to my MPG....9-10 with a lot of city driving....14-15 on long highway trips....and 12-13 with a mix of city and highway.

285 65 20 leveled with new keys and shock spacers, I get 11.5 maybe 12 but mostly 11.5. I drive 70 on the hwy so I drive a little slower too. That's the average. I have a 15 2500 HD with the 4:10 gear.

10-4. I'm only getting 15 mpg in this diesel. With the 50 cents a gallon cheaper on a gas, I believe I'll still be coming out better other than losing the torque and HP when pulling which I only need 5-6 times a year. The gas HD will still pull what I pull, just not with the ease I'm thinking. I'm just wanting 13-15 mpg range and I'd be happy!

The 4:10 gear is consistent, I had a Dodge with a 390 gear and it was the same thing, but your right, I don't pay attention to it

285's and tuned getting 12.4mpg, doesn't matter who drives or how they drive or if it is or if it is highway, it gets 12mpg...

I have had several 6.0's, I knew what I was getting into, wife and I both have them.
